Biography

Beverly Jean Fredericks, 82, of Stevensville passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 30 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Friday from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Beverly was born March 20, 1928 in Stevensville the daughter of the late Elwood and Mable (DeMorrow) Hopkins. Beverly retired as a nurse having worked at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI. She worked in the maternity ward with new mothers and babies. She was known as “grandma” to all she came in contact with. Beverly enjoyed tending her flower garden and watching the humming birds her beautiful garden attracted. Our beloved mother lived life to the fullest, leaving much of her love, knowledge and spirit with each of us. She will truly be missed.

Survivors include her dearest life-long friend, Howard Emery; two sons - Jimmie (Karen) Emery of Payson, AZ, Martin (Meche) Emery of Stevensville; three daughters - Vernice (Hugh) Mock of Glendale, AZ, Pamela (Michael) Pethick of Coloma and Beverly (Christopher) Emery of Stevensville; 14 grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren. Three surviving sisters - Barbara Hopkins, Peggy Emery and Marlene Jeschke.

Beverly was preceded in death by her first husband Wayne R. Emery and her second husband William R. Fredericks.
