Amel Edward Allred, 72, of Bridgman passed away peacefully at his home on September 21, 2021.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2 PM at New Troy Cemetery, 4260 Weechik Road, New Troy. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Amel was born on September 18, 1949 in West Virginia, the son of the late Norman and Pearl (Smith) Allred. He married Kathy Kane and she preceded him in death in on February 18, 2021. Amel and Kathy were not only partners in life, but also shared their love of over the road trucking and traveling the country together. He was a wheeler and dealer and loved to spend time tinkering with cars.
Survivors include his children: Joanna (Paul) Vogt, Steven Allred, Amy (Kevin) Rouse, and Kellee Allred; grandchildren: Ryan Adams, Kendyl Reitz, Brittney Adams, Courtney Adams, Joshua Adams, Dakota Allred, Ashley Reed, and Seth Anderson; siblings: Ronald (Donna) Allred, Randy (Brenda) Allred, Richard (Peggy) Allred, and Malisa (John) Smith.
Amel was also preceded in death by his siblings: Marie Granke, Francis Moyer, Edna Thomas, Lou Wolf, and Terry Allred.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
