Adeline Shafer

Mrs. Shafer was born October 5, 1912 in St. Joseph the daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Ehlert) Jess. On October 25, 1931 she married Verne C. Shafer and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2000. Adeline was the bookkeeper for the family-owned business Shafer Machines, Inc. and together they operated a fruit farm. She was a member of Baroda Bible Church and Fellowship Bible Church

(Catherine) Shafer, David (Karyn) Schultz, and Julianne (Fritz) Findeisen; seven great grandchildren – Isabel Arend, Jessica Geraci, Nicholas, Zachary, and Chapin Schultz, Fritzel and Mitchell Findeisen; and a sister, Edna Shafer of Missouri. Preceded in Death By a daughter, Joann Arend on November 17, 1980; a son, John C. Shafer on April 20, 1999; and three sisters – Mabel Schultz, Elsie Crippen, and Emma Pauley.
