Althea Styburski

Althea Louise Styburski, 86, of Buchanan, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at her home in Buchanan after a short illness.

Althea was born September 1, 1921 in Royalton Township the daughter of the late Ralph and Edith (Burandt) Shearer. On April 19, 1945 she married Kenneth Styburski and together they worked hard on their small fruit and vegetable farm until Kenneth passed away in 1964. Althea worked at Heath Co. in St. Joseph, retiring after 25 years. In her spare time she loved to play cards, crochet, embroider and make quilts. She was also involved in the Galien Ladies Auxiliary Post #344.
