Armand Gnodtke

Armand Emil Gnodtke, 81, of Galien passed away peacefully at his home on January 18, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church Sawyer, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer, with Reverend Brandon Wittig, officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10 – 11 AM on Saturday at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Weesaw Township Cemetery. Armand was born on July 31, 1940 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Emil and Blondena (Strefling) Gnodtke. On August 8, 1964 he married Sandra Dahlen and they shared 57 years together. He was a lifetime member and elder at Trinity Lutheran Church. Armand served in the National Guard for 6 years. He enjoyed collecting tractors, trimming grapes, and cross-country truck driving. Armand loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Survivors include his wife: Sandra; children: Allan (Christine) Gnodtke, Jeffrey Gnodtke, Brian Gnodtke, and Erin Gnodtke; grandchildren: Cody, Tyler, Kyle (Casey), Kelsey, Halle, Hanna Gnodtke, Sydney Brooks, and Mackenzie Vazquez; great grandchildren: Jace Gnodtke and Hector Vazquez III; brother: Arthur (Pat) Gnodtke; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Armand is also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law: Carl (Mary Jane) Gnodtke.
