Aurelia Cervantes de Patiño, de 88 años, de Buchanan, falleció el lunes 2 de febrero de 2026 en su hogar, bajo el cuidado de su familia.

Se llevará a cabo un servicio funerario a las 12:00 p. m. el lunes 9 de febrero de 2026 en Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Los amigos podrán reunirse con la familia antes del servicio el lunes de 10:00 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. en la funeraria. El sepelio será en el cementerio New Troy. Aurelia nació el 2 de diciembre de 1937 en La Tijera, Guanajuato, México, hija de los fallecidos Luis y Gregoria (Vega) Cervantes Peña. Le precedió en la muerte su esposo, Adalberto Rico Patiño, en 2015. Aurelia disfrutaba de las manualidades, la costura y el tejido. Le encantaba dar largas caminatas y cuidar a los animales de la granja. Destacaba en la cocina, especialmente en la elaboración de tortillas hechas a mano. También disfrutaba dedicar tiempo a ver películas clásicas del cine mexicano.

Le sobreviven sus hijos: Gabriel Patiño, Jaime Patiño, Juan Patiño, Asunción Patiño, María de los Ángeles Patiño, J. Noé Patiño, Olga Patiño, Irma Patiño, Carmen Patiño y José Luis Patiño; sus hermanos: Victoria Cervantes, Aurora Cervantes y Luis Cervantes; además de numerosos nietos y bisnietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus hijos: Alfredo Patiño y Ramiro Patiño.

Aurelia Cervantes de Patino, 88, of Buchanan passed away on Monday February 2, 2026 at home in the care of her family.

A funeral service will be held 12 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family prior to the service on Monday from 10 AM - 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in New Troy Cemetery. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Aurelia was born on December 2, 1937 in La Tijera, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of the late Luis and Gregoria (Vega) Cervantes Peña. She is preceded in death by her husband, Adalberto Rico Patino in 2015. Aurelia enjoyed crafting, sewing, and knitting. She loved taking long walks and taking care of the farm animals. She excelled in cooking, especially making tortillas by hand. She also enjoyed taking time to watch classical Mexican cinematic movies.

Survivors include children: Gabriel Patino, Jaime Patino, Juan Patino, Asuncion Patino, Maria de los Angeles Patino, J. Noe Patino, Olga Patino, Irma Patino, Carmen Patino, and Jose Luis Patino; siblings: Victoria Cervntes, Aurora Cervantes, and Luis Cervantes; and many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children: Alfredo Patino, and Ramiro Patino.
