Barbara Grace Sobaski, 78, of Bridgman, formerly of Potomac, Maryland, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Bridgman with Father Arthur Howard as Celebrant. Barbara was born September 27, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late Roman G. and Charlotte (Gewartowski) Imbiorski. On August 23, 1958 she married William J. Sobaski and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2000. Barbara was a graduate of Taft High School in Chicago and graduated from De Paul University in Chicago. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bridgman. Barbara enjoyed gardening, supporting Bread of Life Food Pantry, and was a member of the Women’s Club of Chevy Chase, Maryland.

Survivors include her children: Michael R. (Tanya) Sobaski of Baroda, Mary R. (W. Douglas) Lancaster of Smithfield, VA, Douglas M. Sobaski of Kailua-Kona, HI; grandchildren: Will and Mike Sobaski, C.J., Troy, Ty, Kyle, Alex, and Cade Kanuha, Logan Lancaster, Laura and Andrew (Tara) Peters; sisters: Eleanor (Joseph) Katauskas, and Margaret (Curtis) Spencer.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her daughter Diane M. Kanuha and son-in-law: Clement “Junior” Kanuha; and her brother Robert Imbiorski.
