Betty Jane Dehring

Betty Jane Dehring, 100, of Bridgman went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Stevensville.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 Church St., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Saturday, prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Betty was born on August 16, 1924 in St. Joseph the daughter of the late Roland and Marguerite (Harness) Adams. On August 29, 1940 she married Herbert Dehring and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1986. They bought a farm in Bridgman and built a house on the land. Betty worked at V.M. Voice of Music for 30 years and then at Heathkit, retiring in 1986. She was a faithful member at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Betty enjoyed fishing in their boat and also liked to crochet and knit. She liked to bake her favorite banana bread and zucchini bread to share with her relatives and friends.

Survivors include two sisters: Joyce Mathews and Nancy VanderZwaag; several nieces and nephews.

Betty was also preceded in death by two sisters: Violet Linden and Bernice Gorske; and a brother, Donald Wichner.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
