Betty Dunning

Betty Marie Mensinger Dunning, 83 of Bridgman went to be with her Lord on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Spectrum Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.

Funeral Services: 11AM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church,  9650 N. Church, Bridgman, with Reverend Edward A. Meyer officiating. Burial: Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Visitation: 5-7 PM Wednesday, October 17 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Betty was born November 22, 1934 in Bridgman the daughter of the late Emil and Anna  (Lindell) Hingst. Betty raised six kids while working on the family farm. She drove a bus for Bridgman Public School, worked for Fanny Farmer at the Fairplain Plaza and retired from Leco Corporation. Betty was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman. She enjoyed cooking, working in the garden and spending time up north in her cabin on the lake.  She enjoyed going to Weko Beach in the summer and listening to taps as the sun set.

On August 1, 1987 she married Robert Dunning and he survives along with her six children: Lynn (Vickye) Mensinger, Kathy (Robert Jr.) Long, Dennis (Debra) Mensinger, Donald Mensinger, James Mensinger and Nancy Mensinger; a brother: Duane (Marjorie) Hingst; 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Betty was also preceded in death by a grandson: Kyle Mensinger.
