Beverly Ann Grau

Beverly Ann Grau, 79, of St. Joseph passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Corewell Health South, St. Joseph surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3950 Lincoln Ave., St. Joseph, MI 49085. Friends may meet with the family from 10 – 11 AM on Tuesday at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 or Peace Lutheran Church.

Beve was born May 3, 1944 in Benton Harbor, the daughter of the late William and Mazzie (Ott) Tabbert. On May 24, 1975 she married Gerald Grau and he preceded her in death on July 10, 2017. Beve was a school bus driver at Lakeshore Public Schools, Lake Michigan Catholic Schools and Berrien RESA for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending valuable time with family. She was also very involved in multiple church functions and loved taking care of people.

Survivors include her children: Charlie Scharnowske, Andrew (Melissa) Grau, and Tim Grau; grandchildren: Brittany and Brandi Scharnowske, Emily Temple, Shelby Grau, Macy Grau, and Drew Grau; four great grandchildren; and three sisters: Betty Jane “BJ” Tabor, Barbara (David) Jones, and Bonnie (Don) Godfrey.

Beve was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sherry Scharnowske, in 2015.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
