Billie Alexander

Billie Eugene Alexander, 81, of Stevensville passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 2 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Reverend Noah Headrick officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 - 2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Final resting place will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Road, St. Joseph.

Billie was born November 15, 1930 in Leachville, Arkansas, the son of the late Eddie Mae Nimtz. On April 15, 1951 he married Dixie Leah Clark and he worked over 39 years at Whirlpool Corp. Billie enjoyed fishing, painting, and especially just tinkering. He took pride in caring for his lawn and loved to watch Pro Wrestling.

Survivors include his wife Dixie of over 60 years; children - Bonita Alexander of Watervliet, Kenneth (Debora) Alexander of Stevensville, Michael (Cheryl) Alexander of St. Joseph, William Alexander of Benton Harbor, Laurie (John) Young of Berrien Springs; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Billie was preceded in death by his grandson Chad Alexander in July of 1999.
