Blanche Mae Hasse, 89, of Baroda passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Bridgman with Pastor Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM Friday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Hasse was born January 28, 1919 in New Buffalo the daughter of the late Alvin and Bertha (Stromer) Kruger. On November 17, 1945 she married Henry W. Hasse and he preceded her in death on September 28, 1996. Blanche was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman. She had been employed at Mul-Tek in Bridgman, The Root Cellar, and Hartlines Greenhouse.
Survivors include four children – Betty (Jonathan) Berndt of Stevensville, William Hasse, Ronald (Guyla) Hasse, and Allan (Vickie) Hasse all of Baroda; six grandchildren – Scott Berndt, Timothy Berndt, Amanda Hasse-Sprague, Heather Hasse, Allan Hasse, Jr. and Stephanie Hasse; two great grandchildren – Nikolas and Ella Berndt; and three sisters – Hazel Lipscomb and Emma (Edward) Fitzgerald all of New Buffalo, and Bertha “Boots” Teddy of Lansing.
Blanche was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Camillia Hasse, in 2004.
