Brett Michael McBryde

Brett Michael McBryde, 62, of Stevensville passed away from cancer on February 21, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Lakeshore Christian Church, 5565 Washington Avenue, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Flowers can be sent to the church for the service. A lunch reception will be held at the church after the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085. Brett was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. On March 26, 1988 he married Linda Fedeson and they enjoyed 35 years together. He was a curious and intellectual person, voracious reader and capable jack-of-all-trades. He was an avid sports fan, especially baseball (Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Go Blue!) He enjoyed cooking and playing guitar, music history and classic films. He loved the outdoors: fishing and hiking with his family in Alaska and hunting with his sons and brothers in Michigan. He built his family a cabin in Alaska where they loved spending time together.

Survivors include his wife: Linda, children: Rory (Yasmin) McBryde, Nolan McBryde, Connor (Sammy) McBryde, and Kelly (Dylan) Evatt; four grandchildren: William, Aurora, Ginny, and Ellie; and siblings: Jim (Kim) McBryde, Scott (Elizabeth) McBryde, Dan (Sylvie) McBryde and Roxanne McBryde.

Best of all, Brett was a man of strong faith in God and belief in our resurrection to eternal life through Jesus Christ. His beliefs were central to the good and strong man we knew him to be and are a great source of comfort to his family who know we will see him again in God’s timing.
