With deep sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life lived, we announce the passing of Brian Arend, who departed this life on June 20, 2026, at the age of 65.

A celebration of life open house will be held 5 - 7 PM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebrate a life that brought meaning and joy to so many. The family will hold a private spreading of ashes later.

Born on May 7, 1961 in Saint Joseph, Brian lived a life defined by generosity, loyalty, and hard work. Throughout the years, he touched lives through unwavering love for family, his work, and a genuine willingness to help others. He graduated from Lakeshore High School in 1979, was a proud longtime member of the Baroda American Legion SAL, and was a lifelong resident of Baroda.

Among his joys were spending time with family, watching sports, making jokes, gardening, and being outside. These passions reflected the warmth and character that made Brian loved by so many. Above all, he cherished the relationship he shared with his daughter. Even as an adult, their bond remained strong, built on love, trust, and unwavering support. His love for her was constant and unconditional, and she brought him immense joy, purpose, and pride.

Brian is lovingly survived by his daughter, Katie (Jethro); and her mother, Nancy; brothers: Dennis (Becky), Kevin (Janice), Keith (Marlene) and Bruce (Sandy); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vere and Marian Arend; his infant sister, Eileen; his brother, Gregory Arend; and great nephew, Brandon Arend.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the memories, laughter, and love that Brian leaves behind. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the values he shared.

“Those we love never truly leave us; they live on in the stories we tell, the memories we cherish, and the love they gave.”
