Bruce Alan Charleston, 62, of Baroda, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at his home in Florida.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Saturday March 11, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church, Bridgman with a luncheon to follow in the life center. Friends may meet with the family 5-7 PM Friday, March 10 at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions can be made to an organization of your choice.
Bruce was born June 17, 1954 in St. Joseph, Michigan the son of Wilbur and the late Patricia (Ketelhut) Charleston. On August 25, 1973 he married his high school sweetheart Virginia Marie Schaffert. They enjoyed many years camping and hunting and fishing adventures. Bruce was a charter captain of Triple C Charters for 20 years and a member of the boat brothers. He owned and operated Red Arrow Machining in Stevensville for 17 years. Along with his love of the outdoors his family, especially his granddaughters, were his greatest love. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years: Virginia; and their sons: Kevin (Amy) Charleston of Georgia, Richard (Carrie) Charleston of Florida; grandchildren: Kayli, Kaycee, Haylie, Chyler, and Taylen Scott; his father, Wilbur "Bill" Charleston; sisters: Debbie Charleston, and Lori (Karl) Myers, sister in law: Holly Charleston. Also many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia and his brother Scott.
