Carl King

Carl King, 78, of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friend may meet with the family prior to the service on Friday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Carl was born on June 26, 1947 in Pennington Gap, Virgina the son of the late John and Virginia (Sargent) King. On April 2, 1974 he married the former Dawn Trapp. Carl was a US Army veteran and a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331. He retired from D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant in 2009. Carl and Dawn enjoyed traveling and revisiting Virginia.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dawn; two sons: Bradley King and David King; grandson, Alexander King and his mother, Jennifer King.

Carl was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd King; and sister, Helen Yingling.
