Carl James Myatt Sr., 91, of Bridgman passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at his home in the care of his family.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.
Carl was born on February 12, 1934 in Cash, Arkansas the son of the late Clyde and Violet (Glidwell) Myatt. He retired from Bendix Corp. in the early 90’s. As a former truck driver, Carl was very happy behind the wheel of any vehicle, loved to read and loved a good Western.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary (Arthur Sr.) Schadler; adopted children: Brandy (Clayton) Schultz, Jordan Myatt, and Jeffrey Myatt; many grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren; two brothers: Jolly (Marge) Myatt and Alvin Myatt. Survivors also include Pat’s children: Russell “Don” Curtis, Julia “Carol” Novak, Martha “Char” (Joe) Burks, and Tracy (Chris) Bell.
Carl was also preceded in death by his wife, Allie “Pat” Myatt in 2017; five children: Andrew, Carl Jr., Kenneth, Katherine, and Karen “Sue” Curtis; sister, Pauline Coleman; his first wife, Mary’s mother, Elaine Hart and his faithful K9 companion, Trouble.
Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman.
