Carl was born March 14, 1941 in Logan, West Virginia the son of Leonard and Frankie (Jeffers) White. He was employed for over twenty years at the Alloy Foundry Company in Benton Harbor and also had worked as a short-order cook in West Virginia.
In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering on automobiles and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing.

Survived By his daughter, DeAnn (Robert) Zindler of Bridgman, three grandchildren – Ashley Hamby, Aubrey Hamby and Tianna Zindler; and two sisters – Jewell (Bob) Williams of Schoolcraft, Michigan and Brenda (Dan) Rutherford of Covert, Michigan. Also surviving is DeAnn's mother - Shelia Weaver of Sun City West, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Dee (Tom) Payovich of St. Joseph and Joyce (Jim) Hicks of Louisville, Ohio and a brother-in-law, Greg Hines of Benton Harbor. Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Frankie Jeffers-Baldwin, three sisters, Reba Cook, Cora Prince and Ella Baldwin and 3 brothers, Jody White, Buck White and Stan Ervin
