Caroline Hetfield

Caroline Marie Hetfield, 77, of Baroda passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 9, 2015 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Kendall M. Holder officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10-11 AM on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given Baroda Church of God, Lakeshore Campus, 5020 Cleveland Avenue, Stevensville, MI 49125.

Caroline was born May 23, 1937 in Benton Harbor the daughter of the late Reinhold and Emma (Schmidt) Lick. On June 25, 1955 she married Donald Lyle Hetfield. She retired from New Products Corp., Benton Harbor in 1994. She enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling. Most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Donald; daughter - Debra Nitz of Coloma; son - David Hetfield of Baroda; grandchildren - Jason Greco, Ashley Nitz, Joseph and Matthew Griffith; five great grandchildren; brothers - Duane (Vivian) Lick and Harold Lick; sisters - Beverly (Thomas) Garcia, Judy (Ken) Lausman and Elaine Walker, Vivian Smith and Virginia Barney.

Caroline was also preceded in death by a son-in-law - Dennis Nitz and two sisters - Delores and Diane.
