Cheryl Oldenburg

Cheryl Ann Oldenburg, 55, of Bridgman went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 21, 2012.

Cheryl’s Coronation Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman with Reverend Jon Bendewald officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Cheryl was born November 4, 1956 in St. Joseph the daughter of Alan and Emily (Svorec) Zilke. On May 14, 1984 she married John Edward Oldenburg and he preceded her in death on February 17, 2008. Cheryl was employed at Fairmont Minerals, formerly Manley Brothers in Bridgman.

Survivors include her children: Jennifer (Frank Clark) Oldenburg and Ryan (Joellyn Day) Oldenburg, both of Bridgman; her parents - Alan and Emily Zilke of Bridgman; brothers - Bruce (Sharon) Zilke of Hanover MN and Dale (Julie) Zilke of Winchester VA; nieces and nephews - Zach, Daniel and Emily Zilke, Nathan, Melissa, Joshua, Joel and Benjamin Zilke, Christina (Muhammad) Akram, Jeff and Jerrod Hamlin; great nephew - Hamza Akram; great niece - Zainab Akram. Sisters-in-law - Kathy (Ray) Michener, Wendy (Duane) Larson and Joyce (Doug) Hamlin.
