Clare Hirmer

Clare Marie Hirmer, 83, of Bridgman passed away peacefully on February 25, 2015 at her home.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Monday, March 2, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake Street, Bridgman, with Father Arthur Howard and Father John Ambrose as Concelebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Clare was born January 31, 1932 in Olivia, Minnesota the daughter of the late Albert and Cecelia (Zimmer) Jansen. On August 18, 1956, she married John Edward Hirmer and they shared 58 years of marriage. Clare was a substitute teacher at St. Paul the Apostle School in Joliet, IL for many years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband John; children: Christopher (Janice) Hirmer of Elwood, IL, Steven Hirmer of Burr Ridge, IL, Peter (Rowena) Hirmer of Lowell, MA, Mark Hirmer of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth (Brett) Webster of Downers Grove, IL; six grandchildren; siblings: Jerome Jansen of LA, Marie Johnson of MT, and James (Kathy) Jansen of NC.

Clare was also preceded in death by her brother William Jansen.
