Clarence Slabaugh, 85, of St. Joseph passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ, 3001 Veronica Drive, St. Joseph with Reverend Adam Bohland officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 7 PM Friday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Clarence was born December 13, 1931 in Massillon, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Yoder) Slabaugh. He married JoAnn Whitt November 8, 1958. He was an over the road truck driver for 56 years. Clarence was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and a US Air Force Veteran.
Left to cherish his memory his wife, JoAnn and are their children: Mark (Linda) Slabaugh, Michael Slabaugh and Jeffrey (Kim Copeman) Slabaugh; grandchildren: Nicole Tiefenbach, Elizabeth Slabaugh, Jackie Slabaugh, Carla Dale and Stacy Allred; four great grandchildren: Dionte Allred, Deven Branigan, Josilyn Dale and Olivia Dale; brothers: Freeman (Audrey) Slabaugh, Harold (Helen) Slabaugh, sisters: Ada Bailey, Dorothy (Jim) Brown and Elizabeth Tombow.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Slabaugh, and nine brothers and sisters.
