Daniel Timothy Nicely

Daniel Timothy Nicely, 62, of Baroda, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Corewell Health South in St. Joseph.

Cremation has taken place and at this time, the family will be remembering Daniel privately. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

Daniel was born on December 3, 1960, in St. Joseph, Michigan the son of the late Walter and Adeline (Trapp) Nicely. Most who knew him, called him Dan. He was a Son’s of the Baroda American Legion member and volunteer, a lifetime member of the NRA, and an avid hunter. Dan never shied away from a good joke or lively debate. He was unabashedly himself while facing all of life’s trials and triumphs. Most importantly, he was a dedicated father, brother, son, and friend. He always placed his loved ones ahead of himself. He will be profoundly missed.

Survivors include his children: Nicholas (Brandie) Nicely, and Brittany (Daniel) Nicely-Gott; grandchildren: Kadyn Nicely, and Izabella Nicely; siblings: David (Cheryl) Nicely, Robert (Linda) Rosenthal, and Leroy (Ollie Jane) Rosenthal; sisters-in-law: Kathy Rosenthal, Pam Nicely, and Joyce Nicely.  

Daniel was also preceded in death by his siblings: Walter Nicely, Jr., Richard Nicely, Ronald Rosenthal, Dorothy Murray, and Virgil Nicely.
