Donald Schultz

Donald Herman Schultz, 67, of Sawyer passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, December 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sawyer with Rev. Kendall L. Schaeffer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or Hospice at Home.

Don was born October 16, 1941 in Benton Harbor the son of the late Herman and Ruth (Krieger) Schultz. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He worked for the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture as an Entomologist, retiring in 1997 after 33 years of service. Don was the Financial Secretary and an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer.

Survivors include two sisters – Arlene (Gary) Fischer of Fair Oaks, California and LaVerne (Jack) Wirth of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nieces and nephews – Lisa Dinges, Joel Wirth, Andrew Moore, Rebecca Moore, and Mark Moore; and great-nieces and nephews – Leann Dinges, John Dinges, and Nick Moore.
