Doris Ileen Farquhar, 85, of St. Joseph passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

Cremation has taken place per her wishes and there will be no service. Doris’s request was that everyone smile and go forward. Online condolences accepted at  www.PikeFH.com.

Doris was born Sunday, April 9, 1933 in Chamberlin, South Dakota, the daughter of the late Dale and Rhoda Potter. She married Clifford “Bud” Farquhar in 1958 and he proceeded her in death in 2003. Doris did book keeping and accounting for several companies in the area at different stages in her life. The highlight of her career years was owning and operating a popular night spot, Amble Inn, in Coloma, with her husband during the 70's. Doris will be remembered by many acquaintances for her years of service working at Roosters Party Store and Southtown Marathon in St. Joseph. She truly enjoyed people. The joy of her life the last few years was her grandson, Ronald III, and niece Debra. Both survive and Doris left knowing they will fulfill her requests left behind.

Survivors include her grandchildren: Ronald Saunders III, Jessica Kuriata, Nathan Saunders; and great grandchildren: Sage Autumn Saunders, Josephine Erin Kuriata, Eloise Flynn Kuriata, Ronald Saunders IV, Kennedy Jane Saunders.

Doris was also preceded in death by her four brothers and one sister.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman.
