Douglas Miller

Douglas Allen Miller, 67, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at home in the care of his family.

Douglas’s Coronation Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 30, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 9650 N. Church Street, Bridgman with Rev. Jon Bendewald officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, November 29 from 2-5 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Box 26, Bridgman, MI 49106 or Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.

Douglas was born on May 23, 1948 in Coloma, the son of the late Edgar A. and Barbara Mae (Turner) Miller. On November 6, 1971 he married Linda Lou Keller and they shared 44 years together. Douglas served his country in US Air Force for 4 years and a was a member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331. He also served his community on the Bridgman Fire Department for 39 years. Most recently Doug worked at Home Depot in Benton Harbor and previously at Shoreline Oil for 17 years and Pri-Mar for 11 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife Linda; children: Greg (Mandy) Miller of Three Oaks, Tom (Kristie) Miller of St. Joseph; six grandchildren; siblings: Duane (Dorothy) Miller of Bridgman, Dennis Miller of Bridgman, Dale Miller of Benton Harbor, Deanna (John) Mast of Berrien Springs, and Dwight Miller of Berrien Springs.

Douglas was also preceded in death by his sister Donna Kierstead.
