Douglas Walker, 77, of Bridgman died in early morning Friday November 18 surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Dr. Christopher Noffke officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 7 PM Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorials may be made to the Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph MI 49085.
Douglas was born December 31, 1938 in Saint Joseph. He was the son of the late Franklin and Lily (Stewin) Walker. Douglas was an avid outdoorsman and loved the history and exploration of the West. He had a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan and was employed by Whirlpool Corporation as an Engineering Manager for forty years. He was a member of the Berrien County Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife: Joyce Kay; daughters: Ruth (Brian Gay) Walker, Tracy (Michael) Seaman and Therese (Nicholas) Sisamis; sons: John (Theresa) Walker and Brett (Judy) Johnston; eight grandchildren, three great-grand children and brother Michael Walker.
