Emily was born April 19, 1928 in Cicero, Illinois. She married Robert Bennitt on July 19, 1947 in Buchanan and he survives. She enjoyed crocheting, league bowling and had worked along side her husband of nearly 60 years on their blueberry farm east of Sawyer.Emily was preceded in death by her three brothers, John, Charles and Arnold.
