George Dinges, Sr

George “Bill” Dinges, Sr. 87, of New Troy passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at West Woods of Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, May 9, 2014 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Burial will be in New Troy Cemetery, New Troy. Friends may meet with the family from 11 AM -1 PM Friday prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.

Bill was born September 9, 1926 in Baroda the son of the late Henry and Marie (Leader) Dinges. On August 8, 1945 he married Mary Lee Schmaltz and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2007. Bill was a salesman at Jim Hall Ford, Three Oaks and following his retirement worked at the Chikaming County Club. Bill was a member of New Troy Grace Brethren Church.

Survivors include a son – George “Bill” (Donna) Dinges, Jr. of New Troy and a daughter - Marcia (Ron Roeder) Dinges of Sawyer; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Darek) Goch and one great granddaughter, Danica Goch.

Bill was also preceded in death by a daughter - Nancy Nelson and nine brothers and sisters.
