George Nicholas Vardakis, 56, of Three Oaks passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
He is survived by his wife: Susan Buckler-Vardakis; his son: Nicholas R. Vardakis; sister: Nikki (Clay) Schmidt; nieces: Valerie and Tina; nephew: Clay; and granddaughters: Deana, Lillian, and Alaina.
George was preceded in death by his parents: Nicholas and Florence (Humphreys) Vardakis; sister-in-law: Julie Buckler; and step-daughter: Nicole Buckler.
George loved fishing and woodworking as well as telling jokes and teasing friends and family. George was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Dundee/Carpentersville, Illinois since 1982.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 2 - 5 PM at his home at 6340 Warren Woods Road, Three Oaks. The family requests that in lieu of flowers they are seeking donations to cover final expenses.
