Glenn Lane, Jr.

Glenn Lane, Jr., 77, of Bridgman passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 3903 Lake Street, Bridgman with Father Arthur Howard as celebrant.  Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 PM Friday at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, the Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 PM. Friends may also meet  with the family 3-6 PM Sunday, August 12 at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago.  A chapel service will be held 11 AM Monday, August 13 at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, followed by a committal service and burial in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, Illinois. Glenn was born Wednesday, August 4, 1941in Newport, Tennessee, the son of the late James Glenn and Gypsy (Brady) Lane, Sr.   Glenn was a Director of Facilities at a number of Chicago area hospitals. He was an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Glenn loved to garden and was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed feeding other outdoor animals.

Survivors include his wife: Carolyn; son: Bradley (Terri) Lane; stepchildren:  Kathleen (Thomas) Patrasso, James Donegan, Thomas Donegan, Anne (Patrick) Lentes; six granddaughters:  Megan (Aaron) Lane Harper, Kara Lane, Jennifer (Jason) Smith, Sarah Lentes, Kimberlee Patrasso, Laura Patrasso; two great grandchildren: Skylar and Kaelyn Smith; siblings: Nancy Dove, DF (Geri) Lane, Kenneth (Wanda) Lane, Wesley (Jackie) Lane, Julia Knox; and brother-in-law: Thomas Cisek.

Glenn was also preceded in death by his stepdaughter: Lt. Col. Mary Donegan: siblings: James Lane, Welton Lane, and Mary Lane.
