Biography

Harold Emil Haas, 85, of Sawyer, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center.

There is no service or visitation scheduled at this time. Private committal will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Three Oaks. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Haas was born October 12, 1922 in Lafe, Arkansas the son of the late Arthur and Marthilda (Spitzer) Haas. On June 16, 1951 he married the former Betty Edinger. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Industrial Rubber.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Betty; a sister, Audrey (Henry) Pfauth of Dorr, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Edna Gardiner of Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.

Harold was also preceded in death by a sister, Martha Gaubatz.
