Helene Weitz

Helene Weitz, 77, of Bridgman passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 2 PM at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman with Reverend Christopher Noffke officiating.

Helene was born December 2, 1935 in Elek, Hungary the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Hettmann) Mahler. Helene lived in the Chicago area most of her life with her husband John Weitz until his death in 1981. Following John’s death she moved to this area and especially loved to garden out in the country air. Helene was always there for her family.

Survivors include her sister Anna Swietlik; brothers - Frank, Tony, and Joseph Mahler; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
