Harold Leon Miller, 77, of Berrien Springs, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his home.

A private family funeral service will be held at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman, MI 49106. A graveside service will be held for the public at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 1, 2020 at New Troy Cemetery, 4190 Weechik Road, Sawyer, MI 49125. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leon
Miller Scholarship Fund, donations may be sent to Honor Credit Union, in care of Emma Haygood. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com

Leon was born Wednesday, March 31, 1943 in Glendora, Michigan the son of the late Floyd and Emma Ameila (Krieger) Miller. On August 31, 1973 he married Mary Elizabeth Turney and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2012.

Leon was a 1961 graduate of New Troy High School and served in the US Army Reserves from 1967-1972. He worked at Clark Equipment for over 20 years and retired from Ausco Products.

Leon enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, watching Berrien Springs High School athletic events, cheering on his Chicago Cubs to a World Series championship, and telling stories about the old days to his grandkids.

Leon is survived by his children: Emma (Doug) Haygood, Joe (Tia) Miller and Rebeccah (Josh) Wedde; grandchildren: Ellie, Jacob and Brandon Haygood, Cole Miller, Kate, Emma and Eli Sanders, Dylan Wedde; sister: Arlene Ender; many nieces and nephews.

Leon was also preceded in death by his brothers: Dean, Dale and Zane Miller and a sister Louise Coyle.
