Irving Hischke Sr

Irving Herman Hischke, Sr., 83 of Bridgman passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at home in Bridgman.


Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Glendora, 1733 West Glendora Road, Buchanan, officiating Reverend Jonathan Liebich. Friends may meet with the family from 10 - 11 AM prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church of Glendora, Buchanan.

Irving was born April 19, 1934 in Niles the son of the late Arthur Julius Carl and Della (Ehlert) Hischke. On May 7, 1955 he married Mary Lou Mach. Irving was retired from Bendix Corp and was part of the Sawyer Fire Department for 34 years. He was a Charter Board Member of the Chikaming Ambulance. Irving enjoyed woodworking, square dancing, camping and making model trains and traveling with his family.

Surviors include his wife of 62 years, wife Mary Lou; children Cindy (Randy) LaVanway, Jeffrey (Margaret) Hischke, Irving (Ginny) Hischke, Jr., Linda Chi and Darla Hischke; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Irving was also proceded in death by his sister: Leora Spears.
