Jack Lee Mabry, 91, of Bridgman, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2107 at Woodland Terrace, Bridgman.

Funeral services will be held 1 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman with Reverend Terrell Schneider officiating. Friends may meet with the family from Noon - 1 PM at the funeral home before the service begins. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Bridgman American Legion Bridgman Post 331, 4241 Legion Street, Bridgman, MI 49106.

Jack was born December 28, 1925 in Hurst, Illinois the son of the late Sebern and Jennie (Barker) Mabry. Living in Bridgman his entire life and graduating from Bridgman High School, he married Lorraine G. Witt on May 24, 1947 and she preceded him in death on December 18, 2014. Jack worked at Whirlpool for 38 years. He was on the Bridgman City Fire Department for 38 years and was Fire Chief for 10 of those years. He served in the United States Navy and was a life member of the Bridgman American Legion Post 331. Jack was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Bridgman. He spent his mornings at Eric’s Café in Bridgman, enjoyed spending time at Swan Lake fishing, hunting at his cabin in the U.P. and his weekly golf outings with friends.

Survivors include many caring and loving nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Jack was also preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne, Leslie, Everett and Arlie.
