James William DeVries

James William DeVries 60, of St. Joseph passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Corewell Health West, Grand Rapids.

 

A memorial celebration will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at DeVries Family Acres Farm, 3808 S. Cleveland Ave St. Joseph, MI 49085. Please RSVP to Lori at poorfarmgirl@icloud.com. In lieu of flowers, send toys and gifts to his best buddy, Phoenix. James was born on March 12, 1963 in St. Joseph, the son of the late Robert and Dixie (Dismukes) DeVries. Jim was a fun loving, full of life, crazy funny person. Always staying busy with his friends and family. If he wasn’t DJing or doing karaoke, he would be playing cards, camping with his friends, sisters, and brother-in-law’s, deer hunting with his buddies, canoeing, riding his Harley, or just hanging out with his best buddy his dog, Phoenix.

 

Survivors include his siblings: Robert (Debbie) DeVries, Lori (John) Schmaltz and Linda (Jerry) Oetman, and his best buddy: Phoenix; six nieces; three nephews; many great nieces, nephews, and cousins; and three very special people: Amber Green Hampton and her two sons: Aiden and Jayden.

 

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
