James Friedel Jasper

James Friedel Jasper, 90, of Bridgman passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at Hanson Hospice Center.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9193 Cleveland Avenue, Baroda. Friends may meet with the family from noon – 1 PM at the church, prior to the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Jim was born December 12, 1932 in Bridgman, the son of the late Friedel and Bertha (Truhn) Jasper. On January 23, 1960 Jim married the love of his life, Jean Rogel and they spent 63 years together. Jim worked at Weldun and at Hanson Mold, retiring as the Executive Vice President and Director of Manufacturing. Jim also served in the Army in the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife: Jean; children: Steven (Debra) Jasper, Mike (Jeanne) Jasper, Shelley Jasper; Sister: Leona Mathieu; Brother: Dillion Jasper; Grandchildren: Stacey Price and James Robert Jasper.

Jim was also preceded in death by his siblings: Friedel Jasper, Jr. and Lyman Jasper.
