James Roth

James Herbert Roth, 86 of Sawyer passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 10 am, Monday, January 18, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 200 Turwill Lane, Suite 6, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49006.   Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com

James was born August 24, 1934 in Stevensville, the son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth (Schuler) Roth.  On June 16, 1956 he married Opal Yvonne Haskins  and she preceded him in death on August 13, 2006. James was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Air Force Reserves.  He worked at Wollin Products and retired in 1999.  James enjoyed working on motors and anything automotive.

Survivors include his sons: Al (Marilee) Roth and Jeff Roth; grandchildren: Jenna (David) Newsome, Lisa Roth, Robert Roth, Rebecca Roth and Michael Roth;  great granddaughter: Savannah Maycroft; his sister: Darlene Damaske; and special friend, Donna Sackett.
