Janette Anne Gorske

Janette Anne Gorske, 71, of Sawyer passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

Nettie was born on December 28, 1954 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of Howard and Shirley (Hilton) Luther. On April 23, 1999 she married Randy Gorske. She developed a lifelong passion of caring that extended past her family. With her, strangers quickly became friends and friends became like family. Decades later, friends have fond memories of her warmth, her kindness and that she literally sparkled with life. Her greatest joy was bringing family and friends together at her home. Besides the deep love for her family and friends, Nettie enjoyed gardening, nature and a great rummage sale.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Randy; stepchildren: Leah, Danielle, and Jake; four grandchildren; siblings: Helene, Mike, Bobby, Terry, Russ C., Connie, Lana, Chuck, Russ L., and Ron; in-laws: Gary and Alicia; great niece, Holly; and several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
