Janice Vernaz

Janice Marie Vernaz, 72, of St. Joseph passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stevensville.

Janice’s final resting place will be Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville and the family will be remembering her privately. Memorial contributions can be made to Berrien County Cancer Service, 3900 Hollywood Road, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.

Janice was born, Sunday, August 25, 1946 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Broadwater) Miall.  On July 2, 1966 she married Richard Charles Vernaz. Janice loved gardening and working in ceramics. She worked many years at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years: Richard; children: Monica (Barry) Bublick, Robin (Calvin) Swartzendruber; seven grandchildren; and twin sister: Joanne (Vishnu) Mathur.
