Jeanette Skorupa

Jeanette Evelyn Skorupa, 72, of Baroda passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Lakeland Continuing Care Center in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman with Gary Mason officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 6 - 8PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Fellowship Bible Church, PO Box 321, Sawyer, MI 49125.

Jeanette was born August 7, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late John Rudolph and Ruth Marjorie (Carlson) Lindgren. Jeanette married Matthew Joseph Skorupa on October 17, 1959 and shared over 52 years together. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed baking for them the best Swedish coffee cake ever.

Survivors include her husband Matthew “Mac”; their children - K. Mark (Cheryl) Skorupa of Benton Harbor, Karen (Scott) DeMorrow of Camden, Arkansas, Jill (Gary) Mason of Spring Arbor, MI, Brenda (Bryan) Riggenbach of Bridgman; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers - Richard (Paulous) Lindgren, Gary (Becky) Lindgren; and a sister-in-law: Rita Lindgren.

Jeanette was also preceded in death by a brother - John Lindgren.
