Jeffrey Squires

Jeffrey Daniel Squires, 54, of Stevensville, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman, with Reverend Christopher Noffke officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hickory Bluff Cemetery, Stevensville. Memorials may be made to the Berrien County Cancer Service, 7301 Red Arrow Highway, Stevensville, MI 49127.

Jeffrey was born July 7, 1962 in Battle Creek, son of Larry Daniel and Vicki Sue (Maupin) Squires. On October 4, 1996, Jeffrey married the former Brenda Lee Penley and they shared 19 years of marriage together. Jeffrey work at Premier Die Casting for 28 years and most recently for Ashley Ward in Michigan City. He loved to golf and was a die hard Cubs fan. But most of all Jeffrey cherished his grandkids.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife: Brenda; children: Chelsea (Rocky) Boswell of Berrien Springs, Andy (Dee) Freyer of Bridgman, Todd Freyer of Stevensville; seven grandchildren; father: Larry Squires of Hartford; his mother: Vicki Maupin Divita of Illinois; step-mother: Jeanne Squires; brother: Todd Squires of Illinois; step brothers: Donnie (Amy) Squires of Tennessee, Phillip (Denise) Higbea of Florida; and his faithful K-9 companion: Smokey.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by stepbrother: David Higbea and a step sister: Donna Squires.
