Joanne Eileen McBryde

Joanne Eileen McBryde, 91, of Stevensville passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Hanson Hospice Center.

Joanne was born on May 3, 1931 in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Gustav and Ellen (Johanson) Dahlen. In June of 1959, she married Edward McBryde and he preceded her in death in 2003. Joanne was a devoted mother who loved her children and pets. She also loved being a homemaker, cooking, and traveling. Joanne loved working at The Winslow Columbine Health Systems. She worked there for 12 years until she was 89 years old, where she cared for residents often much younger than her.

Survivors include children: James (Kim) McBryde, Roxanne McBryde, Brett (Linda) McBryde, Scott (Elizabeth) McBryde, Daniel (Sylvie) McBryde; grandchildren: Sarah McBryde, Natalie McBryde, Elizabeth McBryde, Rebecca (Beau) Arlt, Gennifer McBryde, Rory (Yasmin) McBryde, Nolan McBryde, Conner (Samantha) McBryde, Kelly (Dylan) Evatt, Serena (Ian Arevalo) Douglass, Sarah Douglass, Austin (Megan) McBryde, Heather (Ethan) Gilbert; great grandchildren: Aynsley Gilbert, William McBryde, Aurora McBryde, Virginia McBryde, Eleanor McBryde, Eden Arevalo, Alice Arevalo; and a sister: Eleanor Barker.

Joanne was also preceded in death by a son: David McBryde; a daughter: Anne Marie McBryde; and two siblings: Carl Dahlen and Birgit Hopkes.
