John Andrew Higgins

John Andrew Higgins, 82, of Baroda passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.

A family graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Memorial contributions may be given to the family. Online condolences accepted at www.PikeFH.com.

John was born on February 26, 1944 in Trumann, Arkansas, the son of the late John and Lillian (Holsapple) Higgins. On January 12, 1967 he married the former Janette Crouch. John worked at Clark Equipment for more than 30 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed woodworking, remodeling, gardening, fishing, hunting and just creating.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Janette; son-in-law, John T. Kenny; three grandchildren: Jonathan (Lauren) Kenny, Conner Kenny, and Riley Kenny; one great grandson, Liam Kenny; brothers and sisters: Melba Hocutt, Jim Higgins, Gail Sears, Kathryn Purtha, and Pat Gnodtke.

John was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Kenny; son, John A. Higgins II; sister Cloura Goodrow.

Arrangements are entrusted to Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, The Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman.
