John Myers

John Raymond Myers, 67, of Bridgman, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2673 W. John Beers Road, Stevensville with Pastor Brett Ehlke officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice.

John was born July 24, 1947 to Arnold C. and Fern L. (Shepardson) Myers in Berrien Center, Michigan. On July 11, 1971 John married Kim Lynette Cortson. He served in the United States Army. John worked 31 years at Bosch Braking Systems. He enjoyed working around the family grape vineyard. John was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Kim; children: Ellen (Andy) Korcek of Bridgman, Emily (Phillip) Melton of Baroda, Elizabeth (Michael) Mabry of St. Joseph; twelve grandchildren; sisters: Clara (Larry) Gardiner of Buchanan, Colleen (George Barringer) Myers of South Haven and Carmen (Chris Bolin) Myers of Baroda; exchange students: Susanne (Andreas) Hindahl and Jan Hendrik-Koch.

John was preceded in death by his brother Jerrold Myers in 2013.
