John Slosson

John Wells Slosson, 87, formerly of Bridgman, of South Haven passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Mishawaka, Indiana.

A private graveside service will be held at Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda.

John was born July 26, 1929 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Wells) Slosson. He is a graduate of Benton Harbor High School, attended Lake Michigan College and Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo. John was a partner in the Slossons Party Store in Benton Harbor as well as other real estate investments. After semi-retiring he worked at the Hardings in Bridgman until turning 80 years old.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Mary Healy) Slosson, daughter, Karol Ann Doolin and their mother, Jeanne Slosson; along with their grandchildren, Scott R. Slosson, Nathan and Michael Doolin; ten nieces and nephews.

John is also preceded in death by his daughters Debbie and Donna, brothers Frank Slosson Jr., Charles Slosson and sisters Elsie Webber and Hazel Pullins.
