Jon Earl Bell

Jon Earl Bell, 71, of Baroda, passed away on September 18, 2026 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 4-6 PM at Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy., Bridgman. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebrate a life that brought meaning and joy to so many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The First Tee of Benton Harbor. Jon was born on February 20, 1955, the son of the late George Sr.and Ellen (Morris) in Benton Harbor. On May 17, 1986 Jon married Doreen Ehlert who preceded him in death in 2016.

Jon worked for Bond FluidAire for 37 years before retiring in 2019. He also owned and operated All-Star Athletics for more than 10 years, until its closing in 2008. For more than 20 years, Jon served as president of the North Lincoln Baseball and Softball Association, where he also coached each of his children. Outside of work and his time at the ballpark, he was an avid golfer, participated in several bowling leagues, and enjoyed outdoor cooking. He especially loved watching his grandchildren take part in their various sports and activities.

He is survived by his children; Jon Bell II, Jeffrey (Kari) Bell, Jennifer (Doug) Killian, Derek (Megan) Ingeson, and Paul (Beth) Bell; brothers, Rick (Pam) Bell, George (Mary Jane) Bell; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Steve, Rod, Lisa, and Scott.
