L. Evertt Hartwig, Jr., 67, of Baroda passed away on August 9, 2017 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at The Boyd Chapel of Pike Funeral and Cremation Services, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Friends may meet with the family from 10 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ruggles Cemetery, Baroda. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.

Evertt was born December 8, 1949 in St. Joseph, the son of the late Leon and Marilyn (Miller) Hartwig. He was an avid NASCAR fan and played a round or two of golf. He coached youth baseball in his younger years, but most of all enjoyed spending time with this family. He was a project manager for Weldun International in Bridgman.

Survivors include a son, Leon (Elizabeth) Hartwig of Mission Viego, CA; a daughter: Nicole (Kurtis) Muenchow of Melbourne, FL; two grandchildren; Abigail and Sawyer Muenchow; three sisters: Terri (Denny) Swanson of St. Joseph, Lynn (Jeff) Richardson of Marion, Va, and Lisa (Brian) Wagner of Midlothian, VA. Evertt is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and an uncle.
