L. Myron “Minnow” Mabry, 71, of Bridgman passed away peacefully on Friday morning, October 24, 2014 at his home.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 5791 Sawyer Road, Sawyer, with Reverend Randy D. Lett officiating. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 6 - 8 PM at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Highway, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Brdigman. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 247, Sawyer, MI 49125 or Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
Myron was born July 11, 1943 in Bridgman, Michigan the son of the late Leslie R. and Wilma A. (Payne) Mabry. He was a 1961 graduate of Bridgman High School. On July 12, 1969 Leslie married Marion Loraine Ott. Myron served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of The American Legion Post 331. He worked for his dad at the family owned M & L Body Shop in Benton Harbor. For a short time he then worked for the CSX Railroad as a yardman in New Buffalo. Myron went on to work at ICMS in Baroda for 15 years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sawyer. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife - Marion of 45 years; children - Matthew (Pam) Mabry of Bridgman, Michelle (Jeremy) Warren of Bridgman; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Jayce and Melanie Warren - Richard and Andrew Mabry; sister - Patricia Nemitz of Bridgman; brothers - David (Mary) Mabry of Baroda and Roland Mabry of Baroda.
